Why Tribune Way

Depth over decoration

The work of governance is not well served by surface-level programmes. Every element of the Tribune Way curriculum is selected for its practical and intellectual weight.

Curated Reading Materials

Each module draws on a carefully assembled set of texts — governance codes, case studies, committee papers, and commentary — rather than a proprietary manual.

Cohort-Based Discussion

Participants learn alongside peers from comparable roles — which makes the discussions more specific and the perspectives more varied than a general audience would provide.

Written Reflection Practice

Each programme concludes with a reflection memo — a habit that sharpens judgement and produces a document participants return to in their work.

Hong Kong Context

Content is anchored in the regulatory and commercial context of Hong Kong — with reference to the Listing Rules, the Code on Corporate Governance, and regional board practice where relevant.

Ethics as a Core Thread

Ethical decision-making is not confined to a single module — it runs through the entire curriculum as a recurring subject of discussion and reflection.

Scheduled Cohort Dates

Programmes run on published cohort schedules, so participants can plan around the commitment rather than fitting education around other demands in an ad hoc way.

Next Cohort

Is the next term the right time to begin?

Places in each cohort are limited to maintain the quality of discussion. If you are considering the full curriculum or a single-module seminar, we welcome an initial conversation.

Frequently Asked

Questions about the programmes

Who is the full curriculum intended for?
The full curriculum suits senior professionals who are preparing for a board role, currently serving as directors or committee members, or leading an in-house team that has governance responsibilities. It is also taken up by family-office representatives and non-profit board candidates who want a structured understanding of how boards are composed and how they function. The programme does not assume prior formal training in governance.
How long does the full curriculum run?
The full curriculum is delivered over one term, typically spanning eight to ten weeks. Each cohort meets for structured sessions with reading and reflection work in between. The closing colloquium brings the cohort together to consolidate what has been discussed across the term. Specific dates and session schedules are published ahead of each cohort intake.
Can I attend just one module rather than the full term?
Yes. The single-module seminar is designed precisely for that purpose. You may select a module from the published catalogue — covering topics such as audit committee responsibilities, stakeholder reporting, or the architecture of board committees — or discuss a specific subject that your organisation would like to address. The seminar is delivered over two half-day sessions.
What does the Reader's Subscription include?
Subscribers receive access to the curated reading list used across the curriculum, written essays on governance topics, and quarterly commentaries on recent developments in governance practice. The subscription does not include live sessions or faculty interaction, but is designed for professionals who wish to follow the intellectual content of the curriculum at their own pace throughout the year.
Is there a certificate issued upon completion?
Tribune Way issues a record of participation upon completion of the full curriculum or a single-module seminar. This is not a professional qualification or regulated certification — it is a documentary record of the programme attended, the modules covered, and the reflection work completed. Participants value it as a reference point in their professional development records.
Can the single-module seminar be delivered to a team or organisation?
Yes. Organisations may commission a seminar for their in-house team — typically a board secretariat, a senior management group, or a committee that wishes to examine a specific governance topic together. The content is scoped in advance with the organisation, and the session is conducted as a closed group. Please contact us to discuss pricing and scheduling for group commissions.
