Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 1 May 2025

These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and participation in Tribune Way programmes, seminars, and the Reader's Annual Subscription. By submitting an enquiry, completing enrolment, or accessing subscription content, you agree to be bound by these terms. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

1. Acceptance of terms

These terms form a binding agreement between you ("the participant") and Tribune Way ("we", "us", "our"), a governance education provider registered in Hong Kong. Use of this website or participation in any Tribune Way programme constitutes acceptance of these terms in full. If you do not agree, you should not use the website or enrol in any programme.

2. Nature of programmes

Tribune Way provides educational content on corporate governance for senior professionals. Our programmes, seminars, and written materials are intended for educational purposes only. Nothing in any Tribune Way curriculum, material, or faculty communication constitutes legal, financial, regulatory, or professional advice, and no content should be relied upon as such.

Completion of a Tribune Way programme does not confer a qualification, licence, or professional designation, nor does it satisfy any specific regulatory requirement unless stated in writing by the relevant regulatory authority.

3. Enrolment and eligibility

Enrolment in a cohort or seminar is subject to:

  • Submission of a complete enrolment form with accurate information.
  • Receipt of payment in full prior to the programme commencement date.
  • Tribune Way's acceptance of the enrolment, which we reserve the right to decline at our discretion.

Places in each cohort are limited. Confirmation of enrolment will be issued by email once payment has been received and verified.

4. Fees and payment

Programme fees are as published on the Tribune Way website at the time of enrolment:

  • Full Governance Curriculum: HKD 7,200
  • Single-Module Seminar: HKD 2,600
  • Reader's Annual Subscription: HKD 880 per annum

All fees are quoted in Hong Kong Dollars and are inclusive of programme materials. Fees do not include travel, accommodation, or any ancillary expenses unless expressly stated. Payment is due in full upon confirmation of enrolment. Tribune Way reserves the right to revise published fees for future cohorts.

5. Cancellation and withdrawal

By the participant

Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to [email protected]. The following policy applies:

  • Cancellation 21 or more days before the programme start date: full refund of fees paid.
  • Cancellation 8 to 20 days before start date: 50% refund of fees paid.
  • Cancellation 7 or fewer days before start date or non-attendance: no refund.

Transfer of an enrolment to a substitute participant of equivalent seniority may be requested with at least 7 days' notice, subject to our approval.

By Tribune Way

We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a programme due to insufficient enrolment, faculty unavailability, force majeure, or other circumstances outside our reasonable control. In the event of cancellation by Tribune Way, participants will receive a full refund of fees paid or the option to transfer enrolment to the next available cohort. We are not liable for ancillary costs incurred by participants.

6. Reader's Annual Subscription

The Reader's Annual Subscription provides access to Tribune Way's educational reading library and quarterly written commentaries for a period of 12 months from the date of subscription activation. Subscriptions are non-transferable and for individual use only. Renewal is at the then-current published rate. Subscriptions are not refundable once activated.

7. Intellectual property

All curriculum materials, written commentaries, reading lists, discussion guides, and other content provided by Tribune Way are the intellectual property of Tribune Way and are protected by copyright. Participants may use materials for personal study and reference only. Materials may not be reproduced, shared, published, or distributed — in whole or in part — without prior written consent from Tribune Way. Participants attending programmes may make personal notes but may not record sessions in any format without express written permission.

8. Conduct and participation

Participants are expected to engage with programmes in a professional manner consistent with the senior context of the curriculum. Tribune Way reserves the right to withdraw a participant from a programme without refund where their conduct is disruptive, disrespectful, or otherwise inconsistent with the educational environment. In-house or group commissions are subject to additional conduct terms set out in the relevant commission agreement.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Hong Kong law, Tribune Way's aggregate liability in connection with any programme, subscription, or use of this website shall not exceed the fees paid by the relevant participant for the programme or subscription giving rise to the claim. Tribune Way is not liable for any indirect, consequential, special, or incidental loss, including loss of business, loss of opportunity, or reputational harm arising from participation in our programmes or use of our content.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury arising from our negligence, or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Hong Kong.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The revised version will be published on this page with an updated date. Your continued participation in Tribune Way programmes or use of this website after any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. For active enrolments, material changes will be communicated to enrolled participants by email.
