Our Methodology

How every Tribune Way programme is structured

The architecture of each programme follows the same underlying logic, regardless of format: participants read before they attend, discuss during sessions, and write after them. This sequence is deliberate. Reading builds the shared reference that makes discussion possible. Discussion surfaces the complexity that writing then forces the participant to resolve.

Content is not presented as settled. Faculty raise the questions that governance scholarship and practice have not fully answered — and participants are expected to engage with that uncertainty rather than leave with a tidy checklist.

1

Preparatory reading

Participants receive the reading pack in advance. Faculty expect engagement with the material before the first session — this is not optional background reading.

2

Faculty-led discussion

Sessions are structured around questions drawn from the reading. Faculty facilitate rather than lecture — the discussions move where participant contributions take them, within the frame of the prepared questions.

3

Written reflection memo

At close, participants write a structured reflection memo. For the full curriculum, this covers the term's key themes. For single-module seminars, it is focused on the specific topic covered.

Full curriculum: closing colloquium

The final session of the full curriculum brings the cohort together to review the arc of the term, surface themes that recurred across modules, and consider how participants will apply what they have discussed.

Programme Standards

Shared standards across all three formats

These standards apply regardless of which programme format you choose.

Privacy and data handling

Participant information is held for programme administration purposes only, in compliance with Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance.

Annual content review

Reading lists and case materials are reviewed before each cohort to reflect current governance code developments and regulatory guidance.

Responsive enquiry handling

Enquiries are handled directly by the programme team. We respond within two working days and will tell you honestly if a programme is not the right fit.

Practitioner-led delivery

All live programme elements are delivered by faculty with active or recent professional engagement in governance practice — not by training generalists.

Post-programme feedback

Each cohort and seminar participant is invited to complete a structured feedback review. Responses are used in the next content review cycle.

Document quality

Reading packs, commentary publications, and reflection memos are prepared to an editorial standard — not produced as supplementary handouts.
